Betz Mayer
Assistant Director, PNWER RIA Program
Betz has a life-long passion for transportation and public policy, which started with her first train ride at 6 years old. For many years, she focused on transportation and trade within the Arctic circle, which expanded into a passion for understanding the impact of climate change on Indigenous and rural communities. Through her work at PNWER, she’s grown her knowledge base on transportation and infrastructure development and finance policies, and supported the organization’s focus on pandemic response and economic recovery. Betz’s passions lie in promoting infrastructure development as a key tool for decarbonizing the economy and improving quality of life for residents across the Pacific Northwest.
